HARLINGEN, TX– Texas Regional Bank (TRB) announced the addition of Tracy Harris as the new Chief Strategic Planning and Project Officer. In this role, Harris will be responsible for administering the Master Strategic Plan for the company, establishing sub-strategic plans for operations, regions, and divisions, and defining initiatives and tasks to measure results.
Harris brings extensive expertise in developing and implementing strategies that enhance operation efficiencies within organizations. During her 30-year banking career, Harris has built her expertise through various bank initiatives such as driving core system conversions, implementing employee stock ownership plans, and leading banking center remodels.
In this newly-created role, Harris is tasked with elevating the bank’s customer and employee experience by studying and streamlining procedures to eliminate redundancies and identify areas of improvement. Harris’s goal is to automate bank processes and reduce strategic initiative delivery times by 50%. Additional responsibilities include building relationships with local businesses to further diversify the bank’s services and guide strategic growth.
Throughout her banking career, Harris has held multiple roles, including CEO and President of a $250 million asset community bank. She has been a Certified Community Bank Director since 2018 and is an active member in the community bank industry, serving in various leadership roles, including incoming board chair, at Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT). Previously, she was a member of the Bank CEO Network and served as chair for the Community Depository Institution Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
