TRB Co-Hosts Regional Economic Summit at Texas State University

January 27, 2026

Texas Regional Bank (TRB) partnered with Corridor Title to co-host the Regional Economic Summit at Texas State University in San Marcos, bringing together business, civic, and economic development leaders from across Central Texas for a focused discussion on the region’s continued growth.

The summit convened leaders from the public and private sectors to examine the forces shaping the I-35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio, including infrastructure investment, workforce development, housing, education, and regional planning. The event provided an opportunity for community stakeholders to share perspectives on how long-term planning and collaboration can support sustainable growth.

The program featured a panel discussion moderated by Patrick Rose, President of Corridor Title, with insights from Emily Girard, CEO of the Austin Board of REALTORS®; John Cyrier, Board Member of the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority; Harrison Hudson, Vice President at Kimley-Horn; and Mike Kamerlander, CEcD, President and CEO of the Hays-Caldwell Economic Development Partnership. Panelists discussed development trends, infrastructure needs, and the role of coordination across jurisdictions.

The luncheon keynote was delivered by Alex Meade, Executive Vice President at TRB and Commissioner for the Texas Department of Transportation. Meade addressed the pace of population growth across Texas and discussed the connection between infrastructure planning and economic opportunity, emphasizing the importance of early coordination and shared priorities among community leaders.
