RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Texas Regional Bank announced on Tuesday an expanded partnership that includes the launch of the UTRGV Vaqueros Debit Card.
The new UTRGV-branded debit card is now available to all Texas Regional Bank customers with a checking account. Opening a new account can be done quickly and easily at https://trb.bank or at a local branch. Current account holders can request a UTRGV Vaqueros debit card by visiting their local branch and bringing an approved form of identification.
UTRGV Athletics and Texas Regional Bank will celebrate the launch of the UTRGV Vaqueros debit card at UTRGV Madness on Friday (10/27) at the UTRGV Fieldhouse. With thousands in students, staff, and fans in attendance, the debit card will be unveiled at center court. One lucky fan will be chosen to participate in Texas Regional Bank’s Texas Tornado, a machine that blows money around while the contestant attempts to grab as much cash as possible.
Any fans purchasing tickets for a Vaqueros home game of any sport at the box office using a UTRGV Vaqueros debit card will receive a $1 discount.
