TRB Welcomes: James Ehrlich as Kerrville Market President

April 14, 2026

Texas Regional Bank(TRB) has appointed James Ehrlich as Market President in Kerrville, where he will lead the bank’s local strategy and continue developing long-term client relationships in the area.

Ehrlich brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial banking, private banking and trust, and commercial real estate. In his role, he will oversee the development of the market’s commercial loan portfolio, deposit relationships, and local business strategy, while supporting clients across the bank’s full range of financial services.

His background includes building and managing multi-million-dollar commercial loan portfolios and overseeing $160 million in private banking and trust assets. That experience is enhanced by decades of work advising clients on complex real estate transactions, including dozens of commercial and land deals across Central Texas.

Most recently, Ehrlich served as President of TexTerra Realty where he worked closely with individuals, families, and business owners.  He guided clients by creating sound, market-driven decisions for long-term investments and best use scenarios through the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets.

“Kerrville is a relationship-driven market, where decisions are made locally and trust is built over time,” said Ehrlich. “TRB brings the capabilities clients need, delivered through people who are accessible and engaged in the community. I’m looking forward to building those relationships and working alongside clients as they continue to invest in this region.”

Ehrlich’s career also includes leadership roles in private client banking, trust management, and capital advisory, giving him a deep, knowledgeable perspective on how clients approach lending, investment, and long-term planning.

“James brings a background that complements the needs of clients across the Hill Country,” said Lance Spruiell, Central Texas Region President. “He understands how to lead a market, stay connected to the community, and work across multiple areas of the bank to deliver practical solutions. That combination is important in a market like Kerrville.”

Ehrlich holds an MBA from Texas State University, bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, and is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker. A multi-generation Austinite, he now resides in Kerrville where he is active in community and professional organizations throughout the region.
