More than 18 months into Texas Regional Bank’s sponsorship of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®, the program continues to bring preventive care directly to children throughout Cameron and Willacy counties.
Data reports the program has recorded:
Launched by Ronald McDonald House Charities South Texas and operated in partnership with Su Clinica, the 40-foot mobile healthcare unit travels to schools, Head Start programs, community events, and neighborhoods where access to regular dental care may be limited. TRB committed $75,000 over five years to support the program’s operation and continued reach throughout South Texas.
The Care Mobile® remains active throughout the region, with scheduled visits extending into food-distribution events, youth organizations, health fairs, and back-to-school programs. Each stop advances the purpose behind the original agreement: reducing practical barriers to care by bringing essential services closer to the children and families who need them.
