For over 30 years, Levi Davis has been active in the North Texas community as a municipal government administrator, business leader, and educator. After completing his military service, he began his career serving the City of Dallas in 1973 and was appointed Assistant City Manager from 1978 to 1986 and again from 1990 to 1998. His responsibilities included financial and program oversite for such departments as the Convention and Event Services, Water Utilities, Housing, Police, Fire, and Emergency Preparedness. During his tenure, he participated in the expansion of the Convention Center, development of the City’s Arena and the City’s housing initiatives.
Mr. Davis held positions in the financial services industry at several investment banking firms. Presently he is Senior Advisory for TRB Capital Markets and shares responsibility for the firm’s client development and relationships in North Texas.
Previously, he served as the Western Region Public Finance Director for the nationally ranked invest firm. As the Regional Director, Mr. Davis provided supervision for the bankers assigned to the Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Baton Rouge offices of the firm. The firm specialized in providing bond underwriting services to local governments, hospitals, school districts, college districts and public agencies. During his tenure, Mr. Davis participated in over $10 billion in financing and his client list included: Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Louisiana Housing Finance Agency, North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), the Dallas Omni Hotel, the Cowboy Stadium, as well as Dallas Performing Arts Facility.
Throughout his career, Davis has served on numerous boards including Chairman of the Dallas Methodist Health System Board of Directors, Board Chairman of the Texas Association for Hospital Trustee (THT), board member of the Texas Hospital Association, Dallas Symphony, State Fair of Texas, Vice Chair of KERA-North Texas Public Broadcasting, and is a member of the Dallas Salesmanship Club. Mr. Davis completed his undergraduate degree at Texas Christian University in 1971 and received his Master’s Degree in Urban Affairs from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1973. He holds the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Municipal Advisor Representative (Series 50), Municipal Securities Representative (Series 52), Uniform Securities State Agent (Series 63) and Registered Municipal Securities Principal (Series 53) licenses from MSRB and FINRA.
