Estrada Hinojosa was founded in 1992 by two leaders in the industry: Robert Estrada, a former bond lawyer, and Noé Hinojosa, an experienced investment banker. In August 2024, Texas State Bankshares, Inc., the registered bank holding company for Texas Regional Bank, completed its acquisition of Estrada Hinojosa & Company, Inc.
In December 2025, Estrada Hinojosa and TRB Capital Markets announced an important brand transition tied to the firm’s continued growth and integration with Texas Regional Bank. As part of a continued effort to improve client experience, the firm’s trading, sales, and underwriting business lines will operate under the new name TRB Capital Markets.
The Estrada Hinojosa name, a respected brand for more than three decades, will remain in place exclusively for the firm’s Municipal Advisory practice. Maintaining the Estrada Hinojosa identity on the advisory side preserves the firm’s longstanding reputation and advisory relationships while allowing TRB Capital Markets to establish a distinct presence across underwriting and other market-facing business lines.
