Gene Kagan began his financial career in 1999 at Lehman Brothers, gaining foundational experience in sales before the firm’s collapse in 2008. Following Lehman’s Bankruptcy, Gene transitioned in Barclays through the acquisition of Lehman’s Assets, where he continued to build his expertise in municipal bond sales. From 2023 to 2025, he broadened his experience at Mesirow before joining his current role. Gene holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and earned his MBA from Babson College, equipping him with a strong academic foundation to support his longstanding career in finance.

He holds his licenses with SIE, National Commodities Futures (Series 3), General Securities Representative (Series 7), Municipal Securities Representative (Series 52TO), and Uniform State Agent (Series 63) licenses from MSRB and FINRA.
