TRB Trust & Wealth Management Welcomes Hunter Layne, CFP®, CRPC® as Senior Wealth Advisor in Houston

February 23, 2026

TRB Trust & Wealth Management has added Hunter Layne to the Houston investment team as Senior Wealth Advisor, as the division continues strengthening its discretionary investment management capabilities in one of Texas’ most significant trust & wealth markets.

Layne will oversee portfolio strategy and long-term investment management for high-net-worth individuals and families, operating within TRB’s established investment framework and contributing to the firm’s disciplined portfolio management process.

He brings nearly a decade of institutional portfolio management experience, including direct oversight of approximately $1 billion in assets across 50 client relationships. His background includes strategic asset allocation design, manager selection, and structured risk oversight for complex portfolios, experience that will support TRB’s emphasis on fiduciary governance, valuation discipline, and long-term capital stewardship.

“As we continue building our presence in Houston, it is critical to add professionals who can bring a level of customization that takes into account the intricacies required to best position affluent families and family offices,” said Trey Willerson, Chief Investment Officer. “Hunter’s experience managing complex portfolios for some of the most successful families in Texas enhances our ability to provide consistent, thoughtful guidance as our clients navigate increasingly complex financial decisions.”

Throughout his career, Layne has demonstrated both portfolio leadership and sustained relationship growth within competitive markets. Earlier in his advisory career, he developed comprehensive investment strategies tailored to diverse wealth profiles while supporting disciplined asset growth across client relationships.

“Managing wealth across generations requires structure, discipline, and a clear understanding of risk,” said Layne. “TRB’s framework and fiduciary culture create the kind of environment where long-term portfolio strategy can be executed with consistency, and I look forward to contributing to that effort.”

Layne holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and maintains his Series 65 license. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana Tech University.

Layne began his role with TRB Trust & Wealth Management on February 23, 2026.
