World-Class Tennis Returns to Harlingen for the 22nd Annual Pro Circuit Tournament

October 27, 2025

Professional tennis returned to the Rio Grande Valley this fall as Harlingen welcomed athletes from around the world for the 22nd Annual Harlingen Country Club Pro Circuit Tournament, part of the ITF World Tennis Tour. The tournament featured players from more than 60 countries, including competitors ranked among the world’s top 300.

Recognized as one of the longest-running ITF/USTA Pro Circuit events in the United States, the annual tournament showcases the next generation of professional tennis talent while providing the community with free access to world-class competition. Admission is always free throughout the week, with matches scheduled daily and themed community events including Visit Harlingen Day, Chamber Day, and Kids Day.

“This tournament has become a tradition in Harlingen,” said Andy Carter, Director of Tennis at Harlingen Country Club. “We’re proud to showcase world-class athletes in our community and to make the event accessible to everyone. Thanks to our partners, we’re able to provide free admission, great food, and an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.”

Texas Regional Bank (TRB) served as this year’s Title Sponsor, helping fund tournament prize money, officiating crews, and player hospitality. A portion of sponsorship proceeds benefited Sunny Glen Children’s Home, a nonprofit organization in San Benito that provides safe, healing care for children in crisis since 1936.

“We’re honored to support an event that brings people together and shines a positive light on our region,” said Michael Scaief, Chairman and CEO of TRB. “It’s exciting to see Harlingen host an international tournament that benefits both the sport and the community.”

The weeklong event featured singles and doubles play, a Kids Day Clinic, a Sunny Glen Charity Clinic, and free lunch for spectators.
