Texas Regional Bank established a 2-year program for aspiring bankers called the New Banker Development Program. This program is designed for recent college graduates who want to start a career in banking.
For the first 18 months, the new bankers will receive training in all aspects of banking, including credit, lending, operations, and accounting. After this foundation is established, the bankers can then choose a specialized area such as wealth management, insurance, international business, or information technology for the remaining six months.
Currently, the bank’s Harlingen headquarters hosts the program. However, the bank has plans to expand the program to its regions throughout Texas, including RGV, Houston, DFW, and Hill Country.
For more information on the New Banker Development Program, current students can contact TRB’s Human Resources Department at hr@trb.bank.
