Texas Regional Bank joined several local businesses and citizens as a Founding Sponsor of the Patriots’ Hall VFW in Dripping Springs. The team of bankers presented Mary Jane Hetrick and Kathryn Chandler of Patriots’ Hall with a check for $10,000. “Our Veterans deserve a facility like Patriots’ Hall,” said Erin Needham, Dripping Springs Market President, “It’s an honor to give back to Veterans by supporting this initiative.”
The result of years of research by the local VFW, Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs, will be a retreat for all veterans of all military branches and their families to connect and find support through workshops, camp-outs, and vet-to-vet mentoring. The facility, located on 10 acres on Highway 290, will be built in five phases over the next several years. The first phase includes two gathering halls totaling 8,300 sqft of meeting space. Future phases involve the development of a wellness clinic and Veteran specific development workshops and seminars.
With Hays County being home to 14,000 Veterans, Dripping Springs is an ideal location for this facility. Furthermore, Austin is consistently listed as the #1 city in America for returning Veterans seeking jobs, making the hall’s location even stronger.
To date, Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs has raised $3.2 million of the $5.9 million required to finish all four phases.
