From a Blue Santa event and a special kind of angel tree, to delivering Christmas goodies and decorating parade floats, Team TRB was active in communities across Central Texas throughout the 2024 holiday season. Team members collectively served over 100 hours in their respective communities throughout the month of December. Read below to see where and how Team TRB served last month.
Blythe Cox and Justin Foster assisted with a check presentation to the Kerrville Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association and Blue Santa event. The 2024 Blue Santa program helped provide a merry Christmas to Kerrville and Kerr County families in need. Blue Santa gives clothing and toys for the children, and Kerrville Rotary Club provides generous packages of food for the family.
Team TRB members from across Texas joined forces to spread holiday cheer at the Capitol—Jessie Ozuna from the RGV, Emily Kirchner of Fredericksburg, and Greg Lick of Austin. They visited offices of the House, Senate, Lt. Governor, Governor, and Speaker, dropping off holiday treats to thank them for proudly serving the State of Texas.
Christine Nestor, Emily Kirchner, and John Wells volunteered at the Light the Night Christmas Parade hosted by Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce, where they decorated the TRB float, rode in parade, handed out swag, and networked with local residents.
Zach Townsend and Keri Sandvig participated in the ceremonial push-in of the new ladder vehicle at Comal Co. Emergency Services District #5.
Team TRB from several San Antonio area branches came together and participated with the Angel Tree Prison Fellowship delivering gifts to Boerne area children. Through the Angel Tree Program, Sandvig and her team had the privilege of fostering meaningful connections between incarcerated parents and their children. This initiative not only delivered Christmas gifts but also strengthened family bonds and reminded children they are not forgotten.
At TRB, we make it our mission to contribute our time and resources to making our communities great places to live and work. We believe that we are successful when our communities are successful. This is what it means to be part of Team TRB.
