We are proud to announce that the Texas Regional Bank House built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity is ready for a family to call home. The home was dedicated this past Saturday, July 30 to the sweet Bardales family of Harlingen. TRB was well represented by a team of TRB employees lead by Michael Scaief, Chairman, Tudor Uhlhorn, Director, and Michele Robinson, Harlingen Market President.
The dedication was uplifting and inspiring as the different volunteer groups spoke about the spirit of community pride and giving that was poured into the home. Mr. Scaief spoke about Texas Regional Bank’s commitment to Habitat For Humanity and all the thousands of hours TRB employees volunteer to worthy causes each year around the Rio Grande Valley. We also gave the Bardales family a basket filled with goodies for their new kitchen as a house warming gift.
Texas Regional Bank donated $30,000, towards the building materials needed for the home. But many groups came together to give the Bardales their new home. TSTC Building Program, City of Harlingen- Community Development Department, Harlingen & San Benito Housing Finance Corporation and many volunteers and supporters joined in this very worthy cause.
